Student Leadership

Gospel Light Baptist Academy is a local chapter of the National Honors Society. Students in the 10th-12th grade who maintain certain requirements are eligible to submit their information for consideration in NHS.

What is NHS?

National Honor Society (NHS) membership has been the true mark of student achievement for over 100 years, but it goes far beyond a report card. By empowering, championing, and recognizing well-rounded students, NHS provides schools with a values-based framework to elevate a culture of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The mission statement of NHS aligns very well with the mission of GLBA - to produce well-rounded students growing mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually following the example of Jesus Christ. Members of NHS exemplify scholarship and service by volunteering in community service events, leading the spirit of the student body, and modeling authentic Christianity all while maintaining excellent academic standing.
